Patrick W. Wells

Patrick W. Wells is a Managing Associate in Dentons' Corporate group in Louisville, Kentucky, focusing on mergers and acquisitions, tax incentives, business formation and development, and regulatory issues. He represents clients in the alcohol and beverage, manufacturing, healthcare and business immigration sectors.

He has experience advising on complex corporate transactions, including assisting with the carve-out sale of Babcock & Wilcox Enterprises, Inc.'s Diamond Power division for US$177 million, and representing a distillery client on the acquisition and development of a site for a new bourbon distillery, including negotiations with utilities, railway companies, and local government agencies for tax incentives and land use approvals. He also served as counsel to both buyer and seller in share sale and merger transactions in the warehousing and residential furniture industries.

Patrick holds a J.D. and an MBA from the University of Kentucky (2020), and a B.S. in Economics and Finance from Centre College (2017).
