Junrui (Elias) Bi

Junrui (Elias) Bi is an Associate in Dentons’ Real Estate practice group, focusing on Real Estate Law. He joined Dentons as a summer associate for the Real Estate practice group in 2023.

He assists clients across a broad spectrum of commercial real estate matters, including development, construction, acquisitions and finance. Elias also advises clients in tax credit transactions and represents investors, lenders, developers and community development entities on transactions involving diverse forms of debt, equity and public financing, including state and federal new markets tax credits.

Elias earned both his JD and LL.M. degrees from Washington University School of Law. While attending law school, he served as a teaching assistant for several courses and as a student attorney at the Entrepreneurship Clinic, advising start-ups, small businesses and non-profit organisations on various business and transactional matters, including entity formation, tax structuring, drafting operational documents and negotiating commercial agreements.

Prior to that, he worked at an international law firm in China, where he focused on complex transactional matters, including corporate law, bankruptcy and initial public offerings. He also gained experience with international business through internships at the China Foreign Trade Centre and the China Chamber of International Commerce.

He received the Washington University School of Law Dean’s Scholarship Award. His practice areas include commercial development, construction and engineering, real estate, real estate finance, and real estate investments. He holds a JD (2024) and an LLM (2022) from Washington University School of Law, and an LLB and a BA from South China University of Technology (2021). He is a member of the Missouri Bar Association and the Illinois Bar Association.
