Joseph G. Martinez

Joseph G. Martinez is the Office Managing Partner of Dentons' Denver office, practicing in the firm's Government Contracts and Political Law, Ethics and Disclosure practices. His practice focuses on all aspects of government contracts litigation and corporate counseling, with an emphasis on bid protest litigation, contract and subcontract formation and pricing issues, and complex claims litigation.

Mr. Martinez has significant experience assisting government contractors in compliance with the Truth In Negotiations Act, subcontracting flow-down requirements, and litigating bid protests before the GAO and the US Court of Federal Claims. He also assists clients in resolving disputes arising during contract performance, including cost allowability, Cost Accounting Standards, small business set-asides, requests for equitable adjustment, and performance disputes. He has counseled on the recovery of severance costs incurred while performing government contracts abroad before the Armed Services Board of Contract Appeals, and represented contractors in bid protests as both challengers and intervenors.

Joe holds a J.D. and an MPA from the University of Colorado (2007) and a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Michigan (2004). He has been ranked by Chambers USA in Government Contracts (Nationwide, 2021-2026) and listed as a Recognized Lawyer by The Legal 500 for Government Contracts (2020-2026).
