Meaghan Klem Haller

Meaghan Klem Haller is a Partner at Dentons, practicing in the Dispute Resolution group. She focuses on breach of fiduciary duty and corporate governance disputes for closely‑held and publicly traded businesses, as well as representation of employers and employees in trade secret, intellectual property, and non‑compete disputes. Her practice also includes representation of governments and municipalities in utility and land use disputes, and defense of product liability and transportation claims.

Meaghan has successfully defended an accounting firm against claims of breach of fiduciary duties and obtained a complete defense verdict in a trade secret misappropriation case seeking damages in excess of $100 million. She represented the City of Carmel in a successful appeal before the Indiana Court of Appeals concerning utility regulation in municipal rights‑of‑way, and defended against a petition to confirm an international arbitration award of more than US$50 million under the New York Convention. She has also represented five customer communities in multi‑million dollar litigation challenging water rate increases, obtained a $1.6 million jury verdict on a breach of fiduciary duty claim, and defended the Indiana BMV in a class action alleging overcharges of fees.

She holds a J.D., cum laude, from Indiana University Maurer School of Law (2010) and a B.A. in Political Science and Criminal Justice with highest distinction from Indiana University (2007). She is admitted to practice in Indiana and the U.S. District Courts for the Northern and Southern Districts of Indiana.

Meaghan has been included in The Best Lawyers in America in Commercial Litigation (2024‑2026), selected for the Indiana Super Lawyers Rising Stars list in Business Litigation (2015‑2025), and recognized as an Indianapolis Bar Foundation Distinguished Fellow (2018). She serves on the Indianapolis Bar Foundation board of directors.
