Matthew A. Weinbaum

Matthew A. Weinbaum is a Shareholder at Dentons and US co‑leader of the Dentons Venture Technology Group, specializing in Mergers and Acquisitions. He advises investors, companies, and executive teams across all stages of the corporate lifecycle, with a particular focus on early‑stage transactions providing foundational and growth capital to emerging companies.

Matthew's practice spans venture capital financings, M&A, and private equity transactions across industries including robotics, life sciences, artificial intelligence, food technology, agriculture, biotechnology, autonomous vehicles, and digital media. Notable venture capital transactions include representing Kennametal Inc. in its strategic investment in Toolpath Labs; representing Pearl Street Technologies from inception through its acquisition by Enverus; and advising Noveome Biotherapeutics on its approximately $40 million Series E Preferred Stock financing. He has also represented venture funds, strategic investors, and technology companies in Series Seed, Series A, Series B, and Series C financings. In M&A, he has represented publicly traded technology companies, software businesses, robotics companies, and international conglomerates in acquisitions ranging from $15 million to $65 million.

Matthew holds a J.D. with honors in International Law from Case Western Reserve University School of Law (2008), an M.Sc. with merit in Global Politics from the London School of Economics and Political Science (2005), and a B.A. with distinction in Political Science from the University of Michigan (2003). He is admitted to practice in New York and Pennsylvania.
