Christopher B. Carson

Christopher B. Carson is a Shareholder and Chair of the Dentons US Region Management Committee, based in the Pittsburgh office. He practices in the firm's Mergers and Acquisitions group, advising large and mid-market strategic companies in the United States and Europe on M&A transactions, governance matters, control transactions, joint ventures, licensing, and general corporate law. He has particular expertise in the manufacturing, pharmaceutical, chemical, life sciences, and crop protection industries.

Chris has led some of the firm's most significant institutional transformations. From 2015 to 2023, he served as President and CEO of Dentons Cohen & Grigsby, guiding the firm through its combination with Dentons and the challenges of the pandemic. He continues to serve on the U.S. Region Board of Directors and the Dentons Global Board.

He holds a J.D. with honors in Legal Research and Writing from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law (1985) and a B.A., cum laude, from Dickinson College (1982). Chris has been selected by his peers for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America and the Pennsylvania Super Lawyers list, and has been named to City & State Pennsylvania's Law Power 100 list.

He is actively involved in the community, serving on the Board of Directors of the Pittsburgh Opera and as Vice Chair of the Board of Directors of the Allegheny County Parks Foundation. He previously served as a member of the Board of Trustees of the Carnegie Museums of Pittsburgh.
