Jeffrey Nelson

Jeffrey Nelson is a Partner and member of Dentons' Capital Markets practice group. His primary practice area is Banking and Finance Law, focusing on representing lenders and borrowers in connection with financing various residential assets such as mortgage loans and mortgage servicing rights.

His practice includes a particular focus on financing transactions involving single-family rental properties. In addition, he has broad experience representing lenders and borrowers in other secured lending arrangements, including bilateral and syndicated credit lines and repurchase facilities, and he represents clients in the purchase, sale and servicing of all types of mortgage assets.

He was listed in Ones to Watch, Best Lawyers in America (2026–2027) for both Banking and Finance Law and Securities/Capital Markets Law.

He holds a JD from Fordham University School of Law (2015) and a BA, cum laude, from Denison University (2010).
