Jacob W. Thessen

Jacob W. Thessen is a Partner in Dentons' Litigation and Dispute Resolution group, focusing on construction disputes and complex commercial litigation.

He has represented owners, contractors and EPC contractors in complex delay, defect and termination claims across a wide range of projects, including a US$1 billion LNG megaproject, a casino hotel expansion, a chemical plant expansion, and a flagship healthcare facility. He also secured full summary judgment for a Fortune 500 company in a putative class action alleging imprudent 401(k) investment decisions, and has served as lead local counsel for a major talc supplier in the defense of approximately 500 product liability cases in Missouri and Illinois.

Jake holds a J.D., magna cum laude, from the University of Missouri School of Law (2014), where he was a member of the Order of the Coif and Associate Managing Editor of the Missouri Law Review, and a B.S. in Political Science from Missouri State University (2010).
