Clinton A. Vince

Clinton A. Vince is a Partner and Chair of Dentons' US Energy Practice, specialising in Energy Law. He is also Co-Chair of the Dentons Global Transportation and Infrastructure Sector for the US Region. With over 40 years of experience, he is recognised as one of the leading energy lawyers in the US, with a top-tier litigation track record and a practice spanning major project development, legislative and regulatory advocacy, and litigation including Supreme Court advocacy.

Clint has handled more than 650 regulatory and litigation proceedings and has argued before the US Supreme Court, numerous US District Courts, and multiple US Courts of Appeals. He serves as lead federal trial counsel for the City of New Orleans, credited with helping to save several billion dollars for ratepayers and assisting with the rebuilding of the city's energy systems devastated by Hurricane Katrina. He also serves as outside general counsel for the Smart Electric Power Alliance, the Association of Edison Illuminating Companies, and the Alliance to Save Energy, and advises major technology companies on power acquisition for data centres and CPS Energy on groundbreaking smart cities initiatives. He is the creator of the Dentons Infrastructure & Strategic Innovation Think Tank.

Clint holds a J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center (1974) and a B.A. from Trinity College at Hartford (1971).

He is consistently recognised by Chambers USA, The Best Lawyers in America, The Legal 500 US and Washington, DC Super Lawyers. He has received the Charles H. Percy Award for Outstanding Leaders in Energy Efficiency from the Alliance to Save Energy and was honoured as one of the National Law Journal's "Energy & Environment Trailblazers."
