S. Cooper Hawley

S. Cooper Hawley is a Partner in Dentons' Corporate practice group, advising private equity sponsors, portfolio companies, and strategic clients on domestic and cross-border mergers, acquisitions and divestitures, as well as growth equity funds on minority investments, preferred equity structuring, investor rights and governance.

He began his career in New York at Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison LLP and Fried, Frank, Harris, Shriver & Jacobson LLP, representing sponsors, lenders and borrowers on leveraged finance and debt financing matters, which informs his approach to complex capital structures. He also previously served as counsel to a national political committee in Washington, DC.

Cooper holds a J.D. from Wake Forest University School of Law (2013) and a B.S. from Cornell University (2009).
