James S. Bruce

James S. Bruce is a Partner in Dentons' Corporate practice group, focusing on mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and other business transactions. He advises private equity sponsors, Fortune 500 companies, and middle-market and emerging growth clients across a broad range of industries, including aerospace, paper and packaging, technology, distribution, resort, hospitality and leisure, retail, transportation and logistics, healthcare, and media.

He regularly advises on stock and asset acquisitions and dispositions, mergers, private equity and venture capital financings, joint ventures and strategic alliances, distressed debt transactions, corporate recapitalizations and reorganizations, as well as general corporate and commercial matters including contract negotiation and entity formation and capitalization.

Jamie holds a J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center (1998) and a B.A. from Washington and Lee University (1992).

He is recognized by Chambers USA for Corporate/M&A in South Carolina (2011–2026) and by The Best Lawyers in America® for Corporate Law, Mergers and Acquisitions Law, and Venture Capital Law.
