Michael T. Griffiths

Michael T. Griffiths is a Partner in Dentons' Indianapolis office, focusing on energy and utility regulation at the state and federal level, including the Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission (IURC), the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) and the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC).

He advises clients on ratemaking, project certification and approval, energy transportation, regulatory compliance, financing, mergers and acquisitions, and service territories. Notable matters include securing declinations of jurisdiction for wind and solar projects including the Templeton Wind Energy Center (200 MW), the Emerald Green Solar project (200 MW), and advising on the acquisition of electric transmission assets from an Indiana municipality. He also has substantial experience in water and sewer utility regulation, including rate proceedings and asset sales. Prior to joining Dentons, he served as in-house counsel for ProLiance Energy, LLC.

Michael holds a J.D. from Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law (2006) and a B.S. in Management from Purdue University (2003).
