Justin A. Martin

Justin A. Martin is a Senior Managing Associate at Dentons, practicing in the Litigation and Dispute Resolution group, specializing in Dispute Resolution. He focuses on multifaceted litigation, including commercial litigation, arbitrations, mediations, and judgment enforcement actions across state and federal courts.

Justin has experience representing clients in matters involving insurance, breach of contract, business competition torts, private construction projects, and real estate, and has briefed and argued before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. Notable matters include assisting in the defense of a clothing manufacturer in a high‑value class action, preparing a 50‑state survey of sales tax laws presented as an exhibit; drafting a successful brief opposing a plaintiff's summary judgment motion in an insurance litigation; appearing before a complex litigation superior court to successfully argue to have stays lifted to pursue recovery of damages; and managing the discovery phase of a construction dispute.

He holds a J.D. with honor from the University of California, Irvine School of Law (2017), where he served as Senior Editor of the UC Irvine Law Review and Staff Editor of the UC Irvine Journal of International, Transnational and Comparative Law, and a B.A. in Economics from California State University, Dominguez Hills (2008). He is admitted to practice in California and the U.S. District Courts for the Central, Eastern, and Southern Districts of California.
