Janice H. Ziegler

Janice H. Ziegler is a Partner in Dentons' New York office and a member of the firm's Life Sciences and Health Care sector team, focusing on health care regulatory and compliance matters with particular expertise in managed care and federal health programs.

She advises a broad range of health care businesses—including insurers and health plans, hospitals and health systems, physicians and physician practices, pharmacies and pharmacy benefit managers, and IT and other vendors—on the full spectrum of strategic, transactional, legal and regulatory matters. She has deep expertise in Medicare Advantage, Medicare Part D, managed Medicaid and the Children's Health Insurance Program, as well as Medicare Secondary Payer (MSP) laws, coordination of benefits, fraud and abuse compliance, and privacy and cybersecurity matters. She also counsels clients on HIPAA compliance, digital health, AI governance, and internal investigations in connection with False Claims Act cases and enforcement matters.

Janice holds a J.D., magna cum laude from Harvard Law School (1987) and a B.A., with honors from Cornell University School of Industrial and Labor Relations (1984). She is a former Chair of the American Health Law Association's Payors, Plans & Managed Care Practice Group (2019–2021).
