Eric J. Tanenblatt

Eric J. Tanenblatt is the Global Chair of Public Policy and Regulation at Dentons and serves on the Dentons US Board, practicing in Administrative Law. With more than three decades of experience at the intersection of business, government, and public policy, he advises CEOs, boards, and investors on complex legal, regulatory, and reputational challenges, particularly for companies operating in regulated sectors or introducing disruptive technologies.

Mr. Tanenblatt co-founded and co-leads Dentons' global Autonomous Vehicles practice and has advised Fortune 500 companies and trade associations on integrated strategies aligning business goals with evolving policy landscapes. He has served in three U.S. presidential administrations, including appointments at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, the Peace Corps, and the Corporation for National and Community Service (confirmed by the U.S. Senate). He previously served as Chief of Staff to Georgia Governor Sonny Perdue and helped organize the 2004 G8 Economic Summit.

He holds a B.A. in Economics from Emory University (1988) and a Graduate Certificate from Georgetown University (1987). He serves as Vice Chair of the Board of Points of Light and on the boards of the Metro Atlanta Chamber, the Georgia Chamber, the Fund for American Studies, and the Buckhead Coalition, where he is immediate past Chair.

Eric has been ranked in Georgia Trend's inaugural “Georgia 500: The State's Most Influential Leaders” list (2022-2026) and is frequently sought out by national media including The Wall Street Journal, The Washington Post, and Politico for his insights on the relationship between the private sector and government.
