Eric Elder

Eric Elder is a Managing Associate in Dentons’ Litigation and Dispute Resolution practice group, focusing on Commercial Litigation. He has represented a diverse array of clients in matters ranging from nation-wide class action defense to complex real estate and construction litigation, contract dispute litigation, and regulatory compliance issues.

His broad litigation experience includes drafting pleadings, managing discovery logistics, and briefing complex discovery issues. He has also helped multiple clients achieve favourable outcomes through successful dispositive motion practice and by defeating class certification efforts.

Before joining Dentons, Eric attended Washington University School of Law in St. Louis, where he served on the executive board of multiple student organizations and worked as a senior editor for the Jurisprudence Review journal. He also assisted clients in mediation and negotiations with the Environmental Protection Agency through the university’s Interdisciplinary Environmental Law Clinic, and worked as a legal intern for the Department of Housing and Urban Development Office of General Counsel.

He holds a JD from Washington University School of Law (2021) and a BA in Political Science and a BA in Economics from the University of Louisville (2018). He received the Washington University Scholar in Law Award and First Place Brief in the 2021 Wiley Rutledge Moot Court Competition.
