Edward D. Faison

Edward D. Faison is Counsel in the Firm's Real Estate practice. His primary practice area is Real Estate Law.

He has experience representing public and private companies in a wide range of commercial real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions and financing matters.

He represents publicly traded companies and private equity investors in commercial real estate mortgage and mezzanine financing transactions, including transactions structured as commercial mortgage-backed securities. His experience also includes advising real estate developers on the acquisition and disposition of commercial real estate assets on both a regional and national basis.

He regularly drafts and negotiates purchase and sale agreements, lease agreements, maintenance agreements, licensing agreements, estoppels, declarations, guaranty agreements and other related transaction documents. In addition, he has counselled clients on corporate governance matters, franchise and vendor agreements, regulatory compliance and dispute resolution related to potential litigation.

Earlier in his career, he represented commercial banks and private equity investors in a variety of commercial real estate financing transactions, including construction financings, and advised clients on the acquisition, sale and regulation of casino properties.

He holds a JD from Columbia Law School (2017) and a BA from Duke University (2014).
