Burton R Rubin

Burton R. Rubin was Counsel at Dentons and a member of the firm's New York corporate practice. His practice focused on Corporate Law.

Burton passed away on December 30, 2016 following a brief but valiant battle with melanoma. He was part of the firm for more than 12 years and was an accomplished lawyer with a strong presence in the community.

He was an alumnus of James Madison High School, Tufts University and New York University School of Law. In addition to a successful career as a practising lawyer, he served as a senior executive and director for several companies in different industries, including broadcast and cable television and soft drink bottling.

Burton devoted time and resources to many charities and was particularly committed to the Tanglewood Music Center Orchestra Fellowship program. He was also awarded the Kennedy Leadership Award by the National Orchestral Association.

He held an LLB from New York University (1958) and a BA from Tufts University (1955). He is survived by his beloved wife Suzanne of 56 years, their children Fred and Margot, his daughter-in-law Laura, and his loving grandchildren Melanie, Jordan and Maddie.
