Brendan E. Zahner

Brendan E. Zahner is the Deputy General Counsel at Dentons, practicing in the firm's Litigation and Dispute Resolution group in New York, focusing on commercial litigation involving financial institutions, including insurance companies, hedge funds and investment banks.

He has represented an investment bank in recovering over US$200 million and US$1 billion on separate claims arising from repurchase agreements, represented an investment bank in mortgage fraud cases and in 20 related litigations against mortgage originators for breaches of representations and warranties, and represented several hedge funds in an interpleader action concerning their investments in collateralized debt obligations. He has also defended an investment advisor in class action litigation and represented shareholders in a fiduciary duty/breach of contract action arising out of a merger.

Brendan holds a J.D., cum laude from Fordham University School of Law (2001), where he was a member of the Order of the Coif, and a B.A. from Trinity College at Hartford Connecticut.
