Andrew Rankin

Andrew (Andy) Rankin is a Partner in Dentons' Real Estate and Public Finance practices, specialising in Real Estate Law. With more than 20 years of experience, he advises clients on real estate transactions of every scale, from under $1 million to over $10 billion, including one of the largest mixed-use gaming, retail, residential and hospitality projects in US history.

Andy has deep expertise in the purchase, disposition, financing, construction, leasing and operation of real estate projects, and is experienced in drafting and negotiating commercial leases, financing agreements, asset purchase agreements, easements and licensing agreements. He is also highly experienced in Opportunity Zone investment and development, having implemented the program for a public company with over $25 billion in market capitalization. His public finance practice includes serving as bond, developer or underwriter's counsel for state and local governments and private sector businesses, with over $300 million in public financing deals in the last year.

Andy holds a J.D., cum laude, from Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law and a B.A. in Political Science, magna cum laude, from Wabash College.

He is selected for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America in the field of Real Estate Law (2025–2027).
