Timothy M. Guntli

Timothy M. Guntli is a Partner in Dentons' Real Estate practice, specialising in Construction Law. He represents project owners, general contractors, subcontractors and utilities in all project phases from contracting and procurement through project administration and dispute resolution.

Tim focuses primarily on dispute resolution and litigation, having handled complex construction disputes in state and federal courts as well as mediation and arbitration forums. He has prosecuted and defended claims involving design and construction defects, schedule and delay claims, contract defaults, mechanics' liens, improper workmanship, and error and omission claims. Notable representations include advising a Native American tribe in arbitration regarding a large-scale casino hotel expansion project and representing an EPC contractor in a construction-defect and schedule dispute for an LNG export facility.

Tim holds a J.D., magna cum laude, from the University of Missouri School of Law (2015), where he was elected to the Order of the Coif, and a B.A., summa cum laude, from the University of Missouri-Kansas City (2011).

He is recognised as a Recognized Lawyer by The Legal 500 (2022–2026) and in Best Lawyers in America: Ones to Watch for Product Liability Litigation – Defendants and Real Estate Law.
