Ron Courtney

Ron Courtney is an Associate in Dentons’ St. Louis office and a member of the Litigation and Dispute Resolution practice group, focusing on Construction Law. His practice focuses on complex commercial and civil litigation and real estate and construction disputes.

Ron has successfully represented real estate developers, owners, hospital facilities and sports teams in a wide range of construction litigation and real estate disputes.

In addition to his construction and real estate dispute resolution work, he has experience defending class action lawsuits, specifically those involving consumer protection, products liability and data security issues. Ron joined Dentons as a summer associate for the commercial litigation group in 2023.

Prior to licensure and joining Dentons, Ron spent over 15 years in both public and private sector IT. His IT experience includes managing and delivering complex IT projects and programmes in highly regulated environments and leading internal cybersecurity compliance efforts utilising NIST 800-53 and FISMA cybersecurity frameworks.

He received his JD from Saint Louis University School of Law (2024), where he was Valedictorian and graduated Summa Cum Laude, an MBA with an emphasis in Computer Information Systems from Missouri State University (2013), and a BS in Management Information Systems from Columbia College (2008).
