Sarah Ray

Sarah Ray is Counsel in the Tax Controversy practice group at Dentons Sirote in Huntsville, practicing in Tax Law. She has more than ten years of experience in the legal, military, and administrative communities, including policy management and implementation, military justice litigation, and tax law.

Sarah began her career as an assistant to military attorneys in the offices of Military Justice, later advising multiple generals and colonels of the Afghan National Army Ministerial Staff on strength management. She also served as adjutant for the Marine Corps Logistics Base in Albany, managing military and civilian requirements and policies.

She holds a J.D. from the University of Richmond School of Law (2016) and a B.S. in Criminology with a minor in Psychology from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln (2006). She is admitted to practice in Alabama and Texas.

Sarah has been recognized in Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch in Litigation and Controversy – Tax and Tax Law (2024–2026), and as a Mid‑South Super Lawyers Rising Star in Tax (2023–2025).
