Salvatore O. Franco

Salvatore O. Franco is a Partner, a member of Dentons' Capital Markets practice and Managing Partner of the New York office. His primary practice area is Capital Markets Law.

He represents financial institutions, including hedge funds and private equity companies, with respect to purchases, sales and servicing of all types of mortgage assets, including mortgage servicing rights. He also represents issuers, sellers, servicers, lenders and borrowers in public and private offerings of mortgage and asset-backed pass-through securities and warehouse financing transactions.

His clients include purchasers, sellers, originators, servicers, lenders and borrowers of residential and commercial mortgage loans and related mortgage and real estate assets. He also works with clients on joint venture transactions and fund formations related to the mortgage and real estate markets.

He was formerly with the law firm of Thacher Proffitt and Wood LLP. He served as law clerk for the Honorable James T. Murphy of the New Jersey Superior Court, Law Division.

He holds a JD, magna cum laude, from New York Law School (1996), where he was Topics Editor of the New York Law School Journal of International and Comparative Law, and a BS in Finance, with honors, from Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey (1993).
