Cam Morris

Cam Morris is a Partner and a member of Dentons' Capital Markets practice. His primary practice area is Capital Markets Law.

He represents issuers, underwriters and other transaction parties in offerings of mortgage- and asset-backed securities, buyers and sellers of mortgage-related assets, and parties in other structured finance transactions.

He assists clients in pass-through and debt, on-balance-sheet and off-balance-sheet transactions, with a variety of structures and credit enhancement features, backed by prime, QM, non-QM, investor, RTL, second lien, new origination and seasoned, performing, re-performing and non-performing residential mortgage loans and HEI contracts. He also assists sellers and purchasers in connection with the sale, servicing, purchase and financing of whole loan mortgages.

He also represents asset managers and private equity funds in the formation of joint and fund ventures and asset-backed financing, including credit and warehouse/repurchase facilities.

His areas of focus include asset-backed securities (ABS), asset finance and lending, banking and finance, capital markets regulatory compliance, financial institutions, investment banks, real estate finance, residential mortgage-backed securities (RMBS), residential mortgage purchase and sale, and securitisations.

He holds a JD from Columbia Law School (2015), where he was a James Kent Scholar, and a BA in Business Economics, cum laude, from the University of California, Irvine (2011).
