Rusty (Duane) Denton

Rusty Denton is a Partner in the firm's Employment and Labor practice, based in the Indianapolis office. He represents employers across the full spectrum of employment matters, including discrimination claims, wage disputes, wrongful termination, employee discipline, and termination decisions. He also handles commercial litigation involving breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty, trade secret misappropriation, non-compete violations, and unfair competition in both state and federal courts.

Mr. Denton provides pre-dispute counseling, alternative dispute resolution, and trial advocacy across administrative proceedings, injunctions, and appeals. He regularly advises clients on employment policies and practices, and has defended employers before agencies and courts on a wide range of employment-related claims.

Rusty holds a J.D. from Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law (1988) and a B.B.A., cum laude, from Butler University (1985). He is recognized in The Best Lawyers in America in multiple fields, including Litigation - Labor & Employment, Employment Law - Management, and Commercial Litigation (2013-2027), and has been selected for inclusion in Chambers USA in Labor & Employment and Indiana Super Lawyers.
