Richard Zierer, III

Richard Zierer, III is an Associate in Dentons' Capital Markets Law practice, based in the New York office. He specializes in energy finance, structured finance, commercial lending, and advanced energy infrastructure, with deep experience in project finance, asset-backed lending, asset securitization, and solar project finance.

Mr. Zierer's practice focuses on secured lending facilities and the financial and regulatory frameworks required to power artificial intelligence and hyperscale data centers. He has advised on structured financing models for hyperscale data center operators, represented sponsors and lenders in commercial solar deals, structured a cross-border trade receivables securitization, and assisted with residential mortgage loan securitization programs and asset-backed lending facilities.

He holds a J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law (2023) and a B.A. in Political Science and English, with high honors, from the University of California at Santa Barbara (2019), where he was a member of Phi Beta Kappa.
