Monica Thompson

Monica Thompson is a Partner in Dentons' Litigation and Dispute Resolution practice in Phoenix, focusing on insurance bad faith defense and complex commercial litigation.

She works with clients in advisory and litigation roles regarding claims of breach of contract, insurance bad faith, fraud, business torts and professional liability, securing case dismissals, settlements and summary judgment. She has executed all phases of litigation, including factual investigation, discovery, depositions, dispositive motions, trial preparation and post-trial motions.

Monica holds a J.D. from the Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law at Arizona State University (2014), an M.S.W. from Arizona State University (2002), and a B.A. from the University of California at Berkeley (1999).

She is recognized in The Best Lawyers in America as "One to Watch" in commercial litigation, environmental law and insurance law, and was named a Southwest Super Lawyers "Rising Star" in insurance law. She serves as co-chair for the firm's Hispanic/Latinx Organization for Leadership and Advancement (HOLA) Affinity Group and has been recognized for her pro bono work.
