Kimberly C. Welch, Ph.D.

Kimberly C. Welch, Ph.D. is an Associate in Dentons' Commercial Litigation group, based in the Los Angeles office. She joined Dentons as a summer associate in June 2023, served as a law clerk from October 2023 to March 2025, and received her J.D. from UCLA School of Law in 2025.

During law school, Ms. Welch was regularly involved in pro bono work, supporting the Legal Aid Foundation's counsel and advice clinic for downtown Los Angeles residents as well as UCLA's Veteran's Legal Clinic. She serves on the board of the Los Angeles Poverty Department and remains active in pro bono and community activities. Prior to law school, she was an assistant professor of English and a Gender Studies affiliate faculty member at the University of Missouri-St. Louis.

She holds a J.D. from UCLA School of Law (2025), a Ph.D. from UCLA (2018), and a B.A., cum laude, from Duke University (2013). She is the recipient of the Herbert Lehman Law Scholarship, the Joan Dempsey Klein Scholarship, and the Kenneth L. Karst Endowed Scholarship in Law.
