Kevin R. Stolworthy

Kevin R. Stolworthy is a Shareholder in Dentons' Litigation and Dispute Resolution practice, based in the Las Vegas office, practicing in Commercial Litigation. His practice encompasses commercial litigation, including construction and real estate litigation, banking, bad faith insurance and coverage issues, representing borrowers, guarantors, insurers, and financial institutions in real estate and banking law litigation. He also serves material suppliers, contractors, subcontractors, and developers in cases involving breach of contract, fraud, conspiracy, and construction defects.

Mr. Stolworthy has experience in white-collar and criminal defense work, including managing criminal jury trials involving RICO and Clean Air Act claims. He has more than 20 years of experience as an appointed member of the Federal Public Defender's CJA Panel for the U.S. District Court, District of Nevada. Notable representations include securing a major victory in a class action lawsuit for a low-income lender, bonding more than $450 million in mechanic's lien claims for a world-famous Las Vegas hotel and casino, and obtaining a judgment of over $3 million after a two-week trial.

Kevin holds a J.D. from Brigham Young University, J. Reuben Clark Law School (1986) and a B.A., magna cum laude, from Brigham Young University (1983). He has been recognized by The Best Lawyers in America in Insurance Law, Construction Law, Litigation-Banking and Finance, and Litigation-Construction (2012-present), and by Mountain States Super Lawyers (2011-present). He is co-founder and current President of the "I Have a Dream" Foundation in Las Vegas.
