Kevan Lee Deckelmann

Kevan Lee Deckelmann is a Partner in Dentons' Corporate practice, advising clients on mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, and strategic planning across industries including telecommunications, technology, manufacturing, food and beverage, and cannabis.

She counsels clients on deal structure and strategy, from identifying the right buyer through negotiation, drafting and closing. She has significant experience in Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) transactions, advising on pre-transaction restructuring, formation of ESOP trusts and plans, and sale of businesses to ESOPs, with transactions ranging from US$5 million to US$1 billion. Her practice also includes advising on media, advertising, marketing and data privacy compliance, including email, social media and SMS marketing and promotional campaigns.

Kevan holds a J.D. from the University of Maine School of Law (2001) and a B.A. from Bowdoin College (1995).

She is recognized by Chambers USA for Corporate/M&A (2020–2026) and by The Best Lawyers in America for Corporate Law, Mergers and Acquisitions Law, and Business Organizations (2018–2026). She served on the Maine Bar Association's Business Law Section LLC Act Drafting Committee.
