Gary A. Goodman

Gary A. Goodman is a Partner in Dentons' New York office, focusing on real estate finance transactions. He represents domestic and foreign institutional lenders and borrowers in fee and leasehold construction and term financings, refinancings, mezzanine financings and workouts.

He regularly represents agent banks in syndicated loans and co‑lenders throughout the syndication process and loan term, and also represents prospective co‑lenders and participating banks. Notable matters include representing the New York State Housing Finance Agency in the restructuring of its distressed commercial mortgage loan portfolio of 43 loans, representing a major international bank as administrative agent in a US$360 million syndicated first mortgage loan secured by a midtown Manhattan office building, representing two major international insurance companies in a US$500 million first mortgage loan on a midtown Manhattan office building, and representing a major international bank in a US$200 million revolving credit line to a national real estate fund.

Gary holds a J.D. from New York University School of Law (1973) and a B.A. in History and Economics, summa cum laude, from University of Rochester (1970).

He is a Fellow of the American College of Real Estate Lawyers (ACREL) and the American College of Mortgage Attorneys (ACMA), and is recognized by Chambers USA, The Legal 500, Who's Who Legal and Super Lawyers for his real estate finance expertise.
