Cassidy J. Grunninger

Cassidy J. Grunninger is an Attorney and a member of Dentons' Intellectual Property and Technology practice group, based in Washington, DC. Her practice focuses on Intellectual Property Law, assisting organisations in navigating the complexities of domestic and international trademark and copyright law.

Cassidy advises on issues such as clearance, portfolio management, prosecution, licensing, risk management, defence and enforcement. She also assists clients with building and executing trademark strategy, including developing, maintaining and protecting brand assets.

She provides strategic counsel to clients regarding all stages of trademark prosecution, from clearance and prosecuting applications through registration, as well as handling opposition and cancellation proceedings before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board.

Cassidy has experience enforcing domestic and international trademark portfolios for companies operating in a variety of industries, including restaurants, retail, entertainment and publishing, among others. Her experience includes rendering trademark use and registrability opinions; managing, monitoring and enforcing global trademark portfolios; counselling regarding brand strategy and portfolio management; prosecuting copyright applications; and advising on copyright matters.

She holds a JD from the University of Georgia School of Law, an MS from the University of Colorado and a BS from Mercer University. She is a member of the Washington Performing Arts Junior Board.
