Barrett J. Bierschenk

Barrett J. Bierschenk is an Associate in Dentons' Iowa business division, focusing on corporate law, governance, mergers and acquisitions, finance, real estate transactions, and tax.

He assists clients across the business spectrum, including governance, M&A, financing, and real estate transactions. Notable work includes reviewing abstracts of title and drafting preliminary title opinions on matters such as fair housing regulations, border disputes, and livestock liability; preparing wills, powers of attorney, and probate court filings; and researching Iowa trust law and federal and Iowa state tax law.

Barrett holds a J.D. with High Distinction from the University of Iowa College of Law (2023), where he served as a student writer and contributing editor for the Iowa Law Review and received Dean's Awards for Academic Excellence in Taxation of Partnerships, Trusts and Estates, and Corporate Finance, as well as the Jurisprudence Award in Corporate Boards. He also holds a B.A. in Political Science and Ethics & Public Policy with Highest Distinction from the University of Iowa (2019).
