Ashley Brown

Ashley Brown is a Managing Associate at Dentons in Louisville, practicing in the Restructuring, Insolvency and Bankruptcy group, specializing in Bankruptcy and Insolvency Law. She represents debtors, creditors' committees, trustees, secured creditors, and other parties‑in‑interest in chapter 11 and chapter 7 bankruptcy cases, and also handles commercial litigation matters.

Ashley has been involved in numerous significant bankruptcy and restructuring matters, including representing the debtor in an involuntary chapter 11 case for a Chrysler‑Dodge‑Jeep‑Ram dealership, obtaining approval of debtor‑in‑possession financing and closing on the sale of dealership assets; representing the Official Committee of Unsecured Creditors in cases involving metallurgical coal mines in Pennsylvania and Maryland, as well as thirty‑one Freddy's Frozen Custard & Steakburger franchises across six states; representing the chapter 7 trustee in the liquidation of a construction business with over US$100 million in debt; and representing a client in a carve‑out sale for Babcock & Wilcox Enterprises, Inc. for US$177 million, including a global reorganization of 21 entities in 12 countries.

Ashley holds a J.D., magna cum laude, from the University of Louisville Brandeis School of Law (2023), where she was on the University of Louisville Law Review, and an M.S. and B.S. from the University of Louisville (2013, 2015). She is a participant in the National Conference of Bankruptcy Judges' Next Generation Program (2026) and serves as Treasurer of the KIT Network of IWIRC.
