April A. Wimberg is a Partner in Dentons' Louisville office, focusing on restructuring, bankruptcy and commercial litigation. She is ranked Band 1 by Chambers USA in the area of Bankruptcy/Restructuring law and represents debtors, creditors and committees in all aspects of corporate insolvencies, including chapter 11 cases, cross-border insolvencies and out-of-court restructurings across industries such as coal, hemp, health care, retail, tobacco, manufacturing and commercial real estate.

Notable matters include representing the Debtors in the chapter 11 cases of GenCanna Global USA, Inc., one of the country's largest hemp and CBD producers with approximately $190 million in debt, whose asset sale received Honorable Mention for the Asset Sale of the Year Award from the American Bankruptcy Institute; representing the Official Committee of Unsecured Creditors in the chapter 11 cases of Innovative Mattress Solutions, LLC, a mattress retailer with over 140 stores in seven states; and representing the Debtors in the chapter 11 cases of IQPack, LLC and Coal Network, LLC.

April holds a J.D. from the University of Louisville (2013) and a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Kentucky (2000). Prior to law school, she spent nearly 10 years in investment banking on Wall Street, advising institutional money managers and working on M&A, IPOs and debt and equity financing deals.

She is Chair of the Dentons Bingham Greenebaum Pro Bono Committee and has served as amici counsel to congressional leaders including Senator Mitch McConnell and Representative Andy Barr, as well as the Institute for Justice. She has appeared as amici counsel in the US Supreme Court and serves as Co‑Chair of Commercial and Regulatory Law at the American Bankruptcy Institute.
