Amianna Stovall

Amianna Stovall is a Partner in the firm's Commercial Litigation group, based in the New York office. Her practice focuses on the prosecution, defense, and management of complex commercial disputes in federal and state trial and appellate courts, as well as before the SEC, FINRA, and other federal regulatory bodies.

She has handled a wide spectrum of matters, including breach of contract, fraud, federal securities laws, financial services, partnership and employment disputes, and professional liability. She has litigated numerous cases involving commercial and residential mortgage-backed securities with respect to breaches of representations and warranties, servicing standards, and loan repurchase obligations. Notable representations include successfully representing an investment bank at trial and in multiple appeals relating to the "put-back" of commercial mortgage loans in a $1.8 billion securitization, and coordinating the securitization of $1.2 billion of future settlement payments on behalf of Lead Counsel for a merchant class in an antitrust settlement.

She holds a J.D., cum laude, from New York Law School (1994), where she served as Executive Notes and Comments Editor of the Law Review, and a B.A. in Politics and Psychology from New York University (1991). Prior to law school, she was a ballet dancer with the Neubert Ballet Company based in Carnegie Hall.
