Tomasita Luz Sherer

Tomasita Luz Sherer is a Partner at Dentons, with over two decades of experience helping global companies resolve their business disputes. Her practice focuses on Commercial Litigation, spanning multiple business sectors including consumer products, financial services, insurance, technology and entertainment.

Tomasita helps her clients achieve their strategic goals with a business-minded and collaborative approach informed by her decade-long in-house career. Over the past decade, her commercial dispute resolution practice has focused primarily on business torts and contract claims, including cases involving insurance matters, M&A transactions, employment disputes and intellectual property.

Over the course of her career, she has handled numerous federal, state and class action cases, and has accrued extensive experience in alternative dispute resolution. Her experience includes representing Bazooka Companies, Inc. in a case against a willful violator of its copyright, trademark and trade dress rights, successfully defending a fintech company against class action claims involving PPP loans, and representing Lexington Insurance Company in multiple Covid-19 business interruption cases.

In addition to her law practice, Tomasita is a leader of DEI initiatives in her firm and in the New York legal community. She is a Practice Group Diversity Partner at Dentons and has served as Vice President of the Puerto Rican Bar Association. She holds a JD from Fordham University School of Law and a BA from New York University, and was named a 2024 Notable Leader in Accounting, Consulting & Law by Crain's New York Business.
