Todd M. Stennes

Todd M. Stennes is a Partner in Dentons' Real Estate practice, based in Chicago, advising on a wide variety of commercial real estate, financing and joint venture matters.

He has represented Metro Storage LLC for two decades on multiple individual and portfolio transactions, including sales, acquisitions, portfolio joint ventures with investment partners, and financings. He has also represented Heitman for more than ten years on numerous purchases, sales and financings of multiple asset classes throughout the U.S., and Sterling Bay Properties on development, equity funding, financing and leasing for several properties in the Chicagoland area.

Todd holds a J.D. with Honors from the University of Chicago Law School (1992), where he was a member of the Order of the Coif, and a B.S. in Finance with highest honors from the University of Illinois (1989).

He is ranked by Chambers USA for Real Estate in Illinois (2021–2026), recognized by The Legal 500 for Real Estate (2022–2025), and listed in Best Lawyers in America for Real Estate Law (2018–2026), having been named "Lawyer of the Year" for Real Estate in 2023.
