Linda D. White

Linda D. White is a Partner at Dentons, practicing in the Real Estate Law group. She is a former US Chair of Dentons' Real Estate practice, with extensive experience in commercial real estate acquisitions, dispositions, workouts, leasing, financing, joint venture relationships, development, and telecommunications matters.

Linda is widely recognized as an authority in leasing and management, representing both owner/landlords and tenants in complex leasing matters involving office and retail properties. She has represented Willis Tower through successive ownerships since 1986, and was intimately involved in the more than US$500 million renovation of the iconic 110‑story skyscraper, including the addition of Catalog. She represented Lehman Brothers Holdings Inc. in connection with the foreclosure/workout, stabilization and subsequent disposition of Lehman's debt and equity positions across the country. She also advises on the repositioning of approximately 800,000 square feet of retail space within a luxury mixed‑use tower in Chicago, and represents national real estate owners in negotiating antenna leases, broadcast agreements, and master telecommunications license agreements.

She holds a J.D. from Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law and a B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania. She is admitted to practice in Illinois and the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.

Linda has been consistently recognised in Chambers USA for Real Estate (2007–2026), The Legal 500 (2020–2025), and The Best Lawyers in America for Real Estate Law. She was named one of The National Law Journal's 2022 Trailblazers in Real Estate/Construction Law, honoured as a Lifetime Achievement Honoree by Who's Who, and inducted into the Midwest Commercial Real Estate Hall of Fame (2016).
