Tara Z. Hall

Tara Z. Hall is a Shareholder and Co-Chair of Litigation and Dispute Resolution in the United States, based in the Des Moines office. She maintains a broad commercial litigation practice representing clients in the agribusiness, energy, healthcare, and real estate industries, handling complex business disputes, creditor's rights, collections, and appellate advocacy. She also provides risk management counsel and investigations to help clients mitigate legal challenges.

Ms. Hall represents clients in administrative hearings, district court proceedings, appellate matters, and before the Iowa Utilities Commission, with experience arguing before the Iowa Court of Appeals, the Iowa Supreme Court, and the Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals. She has significant experience in energy rate proceedings, healthcare Certificate of Need matters, and complex construction litigation, and has resolved one of Iowa's largest and most complex construction lawsuits on behalf of an owner with 20 parties involved.

Tara holds a J.D., with Highest Honors, from Drake University Law School (2005) and a B.A. from the University of Iowa (2002). She has been recognized in The Best Lawyers in America across multiple fields, including Commercial Litigation, Health Care Law, and Appellate Practice, and was inducted into the Iowa Academy of Trial Lawyers (2021). She serves as Vice President of the Dentons Davis Brown Board of Directors.

She is actively involved in the community, serving on the Des Moines Public Library Foundation Board and the Drake Law School Board of Counselors, and is a past President of the Employee & Family Resources Board of Directors.
