R. Daniel Beale

R. Daniel Beale is a Partner and co-leads the national Employment & Labor practice for the US Region of Dentons. He also serves as the Office Managing Partner for the Atlanta office. He represents employers in litigation, administrative charges and governmental investigations across a broad range of employment disputes.

His practice includes advising on compliance with federal, state and local employment laws, drafting employment policies and agreements, conducting internal investigations, and negotiating executive employment and separation arrangements. He has extensive experience with non-competition covenants and other restrictive covenants, as well as overtime pay requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA). He also advises on multi-jurisdictional employment matters in coordination with Dentons' global practice.

Dan holds a J.D., cum laude from Harvard Law School (1992) and a B.A. from Emory University (1989). He served as a law clerk to US District Judge Orinda D. Evans (1992–1993).

He has been ranked by Chambers USA as one of Georgia's leading lawyers for Labor and Employment since 2009, and is recognised by The Best Lawyers in America and The Legal 500. He was named "Lawyer of the Year" in Employment Law – Individuals (Atlanta) by Best Lawyers in 2020. He chairs the Board of Wellroot Family Services and previously served as Chair of the Board of the Georgia Justice Project.
