Kimberly J. O'Donnell

Kimberly J. O'Donnell is the Office Managing Partner of Dentons' Lexington office and a member of the firm's Employment and Labor practice group, advising and representing employers in a broad range of employment matters.

She focuses her practice on employment litigation, representing employers before state and federal courts, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), the Kentucky Commission on Human Rights and the Kentucky Division of Unemployment Insurance in cases involving claims of discrimination, retaliation, harassment, wage and hour law violations and claims under the Family and Medical Leave Act. Notable trial successes include defending clients in Ebbs v. Community Medical Associates and Buckman v. Ingersoll Rand Company, securing unanimous defense verdicts in both cases. She also advises employers on employee handbooks, employment agreements, non‑competition and confidentiality agreements, personnel policies and separation agreements.

Kimberly holds a J.D. from the University of Kentucky College of Law (2008) and B.A. degrees in Political Science and Economics, summa cum laude, from the University of Kentucky (2005).

She is recognized in The Best Lawyers in America for Litigation – Labor and Employment and Employment Law – Management, and has been named to the Kentucky Super Lawyers list. She serves on the Advisory Committee of the Kentucky Chamber's Labor and Employment Law Task Force and on the Board of Directors of the Kentucky Association of Manufacturers.
