Jonathan H Kaskel

Jonathan H. Kaskel is a Partner in Dentons' Litigation and Dispute Resolution practice in Miami, focusing on complex commercial litigation and appellate advocacy. He represents a diverse clientele, including national banks, telecommunications providers, insurers and AmLaw 100 firms, in trial court and on appeal.

He has served as trial counsel in high‑stakes litigation involving claims seeking $100 million and $60 million, and as appellate counsel has successfully obtained reversal of a $24 million final judgment. He also conducts internal investigations for clients, initiated by audit committees or prompted by civil demands or criminal subpoenas from federal and state governments, and has developed FCPA compliance policies and programs for public and private companies. His experience includes defending class actions under the Medicare Secondary Payer Act, litigating issues of first impression regarding National Bank Act preemption, and advising on insurance policy interpretation and banking law disputes.

Jonathan holds a J.D., cum laude from the University of Florida (2007) and a B.A., cum laude from the University of Florida (2004).
