Joe Ritch

Joe Ritch is a Shareholder in Dentons Sirote's Huntsville, Alabama office and a member of the firm's Government Contracts practice group.

He handles all aspects of government contracting, including supply, service, and construction contracts and subcontracts across industries such as telecommunications, electronics, aerospace and missiles, shipbuilding, automated data processing, construction, surety, professional, architect-engineer, and technical services, heavy equipment, and high-technology, research, and development contracts. He is also knowledgeable in the Multiple Award Schedule Contract (MASC) program. He is widely known for his high-profile work as Chairman of the Redstone Regional Alliance (formerly the Tennessee Valley BRAC Committee), leading regional efforts to attract the United States Space Command Headquarters to Redstone Arsenal.

Joe holds a J.D., cum laude from Samford University's Cumberland School of Law (1975) and an LL.M. in Taxation from New York University School of Law (1976). He also holds a B.A. from the University of Alabama in Huntsville (1972).

He served as Chair of the Board of Directors of the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) (2014–2017) and is a former member of the University of Alabama System Board of Trustees. He has been inducted into the Alabama Business Hall of Fame and the North Alabama Business Hall of Fame, and has received the United States Department of the Army Commander's Award for Public Service. He is recognized by The Best Lawyers in America® for Corporate Law and Tax Law (2024–2026).
