Evan Sherwood

Evan Sherwood is a Partner in the Dentons Government Contracts‑US practice, specialising in Government Contracts. He counsels federal contractors on Contract Disputes Act (CDA) claims, cost accounting standards (CAS), cost allowability, requests for equitable adjustment (REAs), commercial products and services, contract terminations, and related audits, litigations and investigations.

Evan prepares CDA claims and REAs, litigates CAS compliance and cost allowability matters, defends contractors during DCAA audits and investigations, and counsels on constructive changes, delays, defective specifications, data rights and commercial contracting. He also advises on bid protests before the GAO and Court of Federal Claims, subcontractor disputes, teaming arrangements, OTA compliance and internal investigations involving whistleblower allegations. He is a Vice Chair of the ABA Public Contract Law Section's Contract Claims & Disputes Resolution Committee.

Evan holds a J.D., Magna Cum Laude, from the University of Pennsylvania Law School, where he was elected to the Order of the Coif and served as Senior Editor on the University of Pennsylvania Law Review. He also holds a B.A. with Highest Honors from the University of California at Santa Barbara, where he was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. He previously served as a law clerk to the Honorable Charles F. Lettow of the US Court of Federal Claims.
