Donna J Vobornik

Donna J. Vobornik is a Partner in Dentons' Chicago office, focusing on complex litigation with extensive experience in insurance coverage litigation.

She has represented insurance clients in approximately 90 environmental coverage cases in state and federal courts across the US, as well as other toxic tort coverage claims involving asbestos, Chinese drywall and diacetyl. She also has extensive experience in personal lines class action cases, bankruptcy proceedings involving insured debtors, and major subrogation matters. She has served as national coordinating counsel to insurance companies on multiple issues.

Donna holds a J.D. from the University of Wisconsin Law School (1987) and a B.A. in History and English from Northwestern University (1984).

She is recognised by Chambers USA (2007–2026) as a leader in insurance dispute resolution, with clients describing her as "an outstanding lawyer," "fantastic," and "knows insurance inside out." She is listed in Best Lawyers in America for Insurance Law and Commercial Litigation, and was named "Lawyer of the Year" for Insurance Law in Chicago (2024). She has also been recognized in Illinois Super Lawyers (2008–2022) and the Top 50 Women Lawyers in Illinois. She is a Fellow of the American College of Coverage and Extracontractual Counsel and the Litigation Counsel of America, and serves on the board of the Chicago Lawyers' Committee for Civil Rights Under Law.
