Dean M. Victor

Dean M. Victor is a Partner in Dentons' Restructuring, Insolvency & Bankruptcy practice, based in Chicago. He has over 25 years of litigation experience focused on creditor's rights, distressed real estate, and complex financial services litigation, encompassing all aspects of commercial loan enforcement, creditor/debtor relationships, and bankruptcy proceedings.

He represents commercial creditors, including banks and financial institutions, CMBS and non-CMBS special servicers, and distressed debt purchasers in enforcement and recovery matters, including judicial and non-judicial foreclosure actions, receiverships, contested guaranty litigation, loan sales, and post-judgment remedies. He also counsels clients on out-of-court workouts and restructurings involving distressed real estate assets nationwide. Previously, as an Assistant State's Attorney for Cook County in the Real Estate Tax Division, he gained deep experience in property tax assessments and appeals, securing significant savings for clients across multiple states on properties including office buildings, apartments, hotels, factories, warehouses, health care facilities, and shopping centers.

Dean holds a J.D. from the University of Illinois Chicago School of Law (1992) and a B.A. from the University of Wisconsin (1989).
