David Jones

David Jones is Of Counsel at Dentons, practicing in the Litigation and Dispute Resolution group, specializing in Administrative Law. He advises municipal and county governments on contracts, ordinances, land issues, compliance, financing, and economic development initiatives, drawing on his experience as County Attorney for Vanderburgh County and Corporate Counsel for the City of Evansville.

David brings nearly 50 years of litigation experience in state and federal courts, encompassing civil litigation, municipal law, commercial litigation, construction law, and the defense of law enforcement and civil rights claims against corporate and municipal entities. He has extensive appellate experience before the Indiana Court of Appeals, the Indiana Supreme Court, various U.S. Courts of Appeals, and the U.S. Supreme Court.

He holds a J.D. from Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law (1975) and a B.A., cum laude, from University of Evansville (1972). He served in the United States Marine Corps, including active duty in the Republic of South Vietnam.

David has been recognized with a Martindale‑Hubbell AV Rating, named an Indiana Super Lawyer (2004), and selected as one of the Top 100 Litigation Lawyers in Indiana by the American Society of Legal Advocates (2013).
