Cecilia Ehresman

Cecilia Ehresman is a Partner in the firm's Employment & Labor practice, based in Charleston, litigating employment-related disputes nationwide and advising employers on complex workforce issues at the intersection of employment law, technology and business operations, including the use of artificial intelligence in the workplace.

She represents employers across industries in federal and state court litigation and before agencies such as the EEOC and OSHA, focusing on matters involving discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage and hour issues, workplace safety compliance, and restrictive covenant enforcement. She also counsels employers on the design and implementation of workplace practices to mitigate legal risk, including risk assessment, policy development, and compliance with emerging regulatory frameworks for AI-driven tools in hiring, performance management, and employee monitoring. Her counseling extends to sensitive terminations, workplace investigations, accommodations, leave management, executive contracts, reductions-in-force and terminations.

Cecilia holds a J.D., cum laude from St. John's University School of Law (2016), where she received the Award for Excellence in Labor and Employment Law and served as Executive Research Editor of the American Bankruptcy Institute Journal, and a B.A., summa cum laude from the Catholic University of America (2013).
